And, speaking ahead of Leipzig’s 4-1 defeat to Como in the Champions League, the forward reflected on his time in London. Nkunku said: “When I went to Chelsea, things started well, and then I got injured at the end of the last friendly. And after that, everything changed. “I had my first operation, I wanted to get back on the pitch quickly, and there were also many changes. I didn’t like my role at Chelsea.” Nkunku was shipped off to Milan after two underwhelming years at Chelsea. He joined the Italian side for £31million last summer, but only managed eight goals in 35 appearances. New Milan boss Ruben Amorim quickly shipped him out. It’s a choice that should be respected, but I don’t know why they acted that way. “I was surprised.
