Did you scan the QR code on Sadie’s helicopter in Emmerdale? Yes, it led somewhere

| Soaps Reporter Published September 3, 2026 12:36pm Updated September 3, 2026 12:46pm Sadie King arrived in true Sadie style! (Picture: ITV) Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) returned to Emmerdale with a bang yesterday in scenes reminiscent of her first arrival 20 years ago. The iconic character interrupted a gathering at the crash site, where Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) was looking at the flowers and messages left for Jimmy King (Nick Miles) after his death. In true Sadie style, she touched down in a helicopter and strutted across the field in heels and a faux-fur coat. Amid the glamour, you may have spotted a QR code on the helicopter – and you weren’t the only one. Fans took to social media to point out the code, asking if anyone had scanned it and sharing the results. ‘Has anyone scanned the QR code on the helicopter in Wednesdays episode……. Very clever by ITV!’ One fan wrote on Reddit. Sadie’s return was a blast from the past (Picture: ITV) ‘I saw it and immediately paused the TV to scan it,’ another replied. As Metro‘s local soap detective, I obviously scanned the code myself and was led straight to the Emmerdale page on the ITVX website. At the very top of the page was an article about the shortlist for the National Television Awards. As well as a link to cast your vote, the page revealed that Cain Dingle actor Jeff Hordley has been shortlisted for Serial Drama Performance, while Emmerdale is nominated for Serial Drama. The other nominees in the Serial Drama category are EastEnders, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Casualty. In the Serial Drama Performance category, Jeff is up against Corrie’s Sue Devaney and Gareth Pierce, who play Debbie Webster and Todd Grimshaw respectively and EastEnders’ Nigel Bates and Ravi Gulati stars Paul Bradley and Aaron Thiara. It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since Sadie last graced the village with her presence. ‘Being back, it feels like yesterday, but it was 20 years ago. It’s just brilliant. I’m loving it,’ Actress Patsy Kensit told Metro when we chatted to her during a recent trip to the Village.
