Did every GOP candidate endorsed by Nicki Minaj in midterms lose to Democrats?

The "queen of rap" announced her support of four Republican candidates. All but one lost to Democrats. Published Nov. 4, 2026 Claim: Every Republican candidate endorsed by Nicki Minaj during the November 2026 midterm elections lost to Democrats. What's TrueThree Republican candidates individually endorsed by Minaj in the 2026 midterm elections — Bruce Blakeman, Mike Rogers and John James — lost to Democrats. What's FalseMinaj also endorsed the Republican gubernatorial candidate for Florida, Byron Donalds, who defeated Democrat David Jolly. As Democrats swept the Nov. 3 midterm elections, many people claimed (archived) on social media that every Republican candidate endorsed by rapper Nicki Minaj ended up losing to Democrats. Minaj had joined U.S. President Donald Trump as he campaigned for Republicans across the country ahead of the midterms. (X user @PopBaseUpdates) While Minaj took to X to broadly encourage voters to "Vote Red," she separately announced her support of four specific Republican candidates. All but one of those candidates lost to Democrats. As such, we've rated the claim a mixture. Minaj endorsed Republican Mike Rogers of Michigan, who lost to Democrat Abdul El-Sayed; she endorsed (archived) the Republican candidate for New York governor, Bruce Blakeman, who lost to incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul; in Michigan, she supported (archived) Republican gubernatorial candidate John James, who lost to Democrat Jocelyn Benson. Minaj also endorsed Florida's Republican gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds, who beat Democrat David Jolly. In one additional case, Minaj was spotted at a polling station in Derry, New Hampshire, on Election Day. Republican incumbent Gov. Kelly Ayotte won that election, but Democrat Chris Pappas won the New Hampshire Senate seat. Overall, Democrats flipped the House of Representatives and Senate in a rebuke of the political status quo. For further reading, Snopes has covered numerous rumors about Minaj.
