Dhoni's law: Rahane reveals one rule Ex-India captain never compromised on

However, his former teammate Ajinkya Rahane has now revealed one rule that Dhoni kept in regards to this.Many players, including former CSK stars, have revealed how Dhoni used to keep things light with his teammates and allowed them to come to his room to unwind from the pressure of the game.During overseas assignments for the Indian team, Dhoni was known for keeping his hotel room open to teammates. It became an informal hangout where younger players could relax, enjoy video games on their phones or consoles, offering a welcome break from the demands of the game.Speaking on the Overlap Cricket YouTube channel, Rahane said that Dhoni is very calm and cool and always kept his room open and it used to have at times, the entire team sitting inside. “He is (Dhoni) very calm and cool and just a very normal human being like everyone. His room was almost always open for anyone to do anything. So many times, 10 to 15 of them or even the whole team were in his room," said Rahane.However, Rahane said that Dhoni's rule was that if the door was shut, then no one was allowed inside. “But when his door was shut, no one was allowed," Rahane said.Rahane and Dhoni played together for the Indian team and also during the IPL for Rising Pune Supergiant and Chennai Super Kings. Rahane credited Dhoni for giving him a new lease of life during his time with CSK in 2023, where he played a crucial role in helping Chennai win their 5th IPL title.Dhoni’s playing future is still up in the air after a leg injury forced him to miss the entire IPL 2026 campaign.
