‘Devastated’ family of bus driver, 25, share heartbreaking tribute after ‘amazing’ man shot dead outside pub

THE family of a bus driver who was shot dead have paid tribute to him – an “amazing man” who brought “joy” to others. Auguste-Marie Bile-aka Amoa, 25, known in the area as “Billy”, was arriving home from work when he was killed outside a pub in Clapham on August 10. Despite paramedics arriving within three minutes, he was pronounced dead at the scene with Billy’s friends saying he was in the “wrong place at the wrong time”. Billy’s family have said he was ‘an amazing man’ Credit: @itssmxyyx/ TikTok Police arrested a 22-year-old man Credit: PA “Bile-aka touched so many hearts, and the pain of losing him is impossible to put into words. “It is difficult to imagine a world without his smile, his presence, and the joy he brought to those around him. “Family, friends, and colleagues are heartbroken, and all we want now is justice for him. “Please stand with us and help us honour Bile-aka by making sure his life is remembered and that justice is served.” Most read in The Sun The Sun has seen CCTV footage showing a male wearing a moped helmet limping with “blood pouring out his mouth.” It shows the man walking down a high road about a minute from the scene of the shooting. The male limping is understood to be a 22-year-old male who presented himself to hospital with a gunshot wound. At the time of the incident, police arrested a man, 22, on suspicion of murder, but no further arrests have been made. The Met has now renewed an appeal to the public for information on the shooting and continues its urgent enquiries. Detective Chief Inspector Claire Guiver, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Bile-aka’s family as they continue to come to terms with this tragic incident. “We are extending our appeal to members of the public, and anyone in the area around the time of the shooting to please come forward. “Any piece of information you have could prove vital in our investigation. If you witnessed anything suspicious, or have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage that could assist our investigation, we urge you to get in touch. “No matter how big or small, your information could be crucial in our investigation.” Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is encouraged to contact police on 101 quoting reference 8379/10AUG.
