THE family of a bus driver who was shot dead have paid tribute to him – an “amazing man” who brought “joy” to others. Auguste-Marie Bile-aka Amoa, 25, known in the area as “Billy”, was arriving home from work when he was killed outside a pub in Clapham on August 10. Despite paramedics arriving within three minutes, he was pronounced dead at the scene with Billy’s friends saying he was in the “wrong place at the wrong time”. The male limping is understood to be a 22-year-old male who presented himself to hospital with a gunshot wound. At the time of the incident, police arrested a man, 22, on suspicion of murder, but no further arrests have been made. The Met has now renewed an appeal to the public for information on the shooting and continues its urgent enquiries. Detective Chief Inspector Claire Guiver, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Bile-aka’s family as they continue to come to terms with this tragic incident. “We are extending our appeal to members of the public, and anyone in the area around the time of the shooting to please come forward. “Any piece of information you have could prove vital in our investigation. If you witnessed anything suspicious, or have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage that could assist our investigation, we urge you to get in touch. “No matter how big or small, your information could be crucial in our investigation.” Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is encouraged to contact police on 101 quoting reference 8379/10AUG.
