Variety reports that, instead of being released in 2026, as previous reports indicated, Here Comes the Flood with Washington and Pattinson is expected to arrive on Netflix in 2027. However, a specific date has not been officially announced just yet. Daisy Edgar-Jones, Danai Gurira, Sean Harris, Moisés Arias and Justin Kirk star alongside Washington and Pattinson in the film. Directed by The Two Popes' Fernando Meirelles, the thriller centers on a thief, a bank guard and a teller. As plans for a heist get underway, double-crosses and a game of cons threaten to unravel the entire ordeal. Simon Kinberg, who served as a screenwriter on films such as X-Men: Days of Future Past and produced The Martian, Deadpool and Murder on the Orient Express, wrote the script for Here Comes the Flood. The producing team consists of Meirelles, Kinberg, Audrey Chon and Samson Mucke. Pattinson is having a very busy 2026. He's already starred in The Drama and The Odyssey; the latter film has already grossed $1.1 billion at the box office less than a month after being released in theaters. He can next be seen in Primetime, a biopic about To Catch a Predator that comes out in September. The actor will then close out the year with Dune: Part Three, which arrives in theaters on December 18, the same day as Avengers: Doomsday. He's also currently filming The Batman: Part II for a 2028 release. Meanwhile, Washington most recently starred in the crime thriller Highest 2 Lowest and Ridley Scott's historical film Gladiator II, which earned the actor a Critics' Choice Movie Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
