Delta Passenger Threatens To Sue For Being Served 3 Cocktails In The Sky Club Before Getting Kicked Off Flight

A Delta passenger kicked off her flight for suspected intoxication blamed the airline, because it was their Sky Club that served her three cocktails. She threatened to sue, demanded everything be put “on the record,” and kept arguing after police offered to take her to get rebooked. She ended up in handcuffs. Police body cam footage was just posted September 20 of an older incident at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport. Delta employees are seen telling officers that the woman had been stumbling, smelled of alcohol, and repeatedly refused to get off the aircraft. She’d initially been offered rebooking if she cooperated. The woman keeps asking, “Why should I give in?” “They Served Me Three Cocktails In Their Lounge” When she asks for the official reason she’s being removed, an employee answers, “Suspected intoxication.” She says she’d had three cocktails over three hours at Delta’s lounge and has receipts. “This is going to be a lawsuit against Delta because they served me three cocktails in their lounge that I have receipts for.” She says she asked for a breathalyzer. She also walks officers through her boarding group, explaining that she waited for zone two. She also says that a Delta employee solicited oral sex and that she’d refused. The captain eventually tells her: “I’m the captain of the airplane. You’re not flying with me tonight.” Asked why, he cites her being uncooperative. Earlier, he references Eddie Murphy in Trading Places and calls her a “pain in the ass.” The Police Gave Her An Off-Ramp. She Refused To Take It. The officers explain that they’ll take her back to the terminal, release her, and let her try to book another airline. That’s where she can deal with getting home after Delta has canceled her travel. She interrupts with another warning: “I think we have a lawsuit here. So speak very carefully.” She keeps asking where they’re taking her. She objects to being touched and refuses to go outside down the jetbridge stairs. An officer tells her, “I do not want to arrest you.” He warns her again that refusing to go can change that. The encounter becomes physical. Officers restrain and handcuff her, and she screams for help. She complains that the cuffs hurt.
