A Delta Connection captain approaching Detroit asked for supervisors to meet the aircraft because his flight attendants might need to be separated. Usually it’s an unruly passenger they’re calling about – not the crew. We are experiencing conflict issues among the flight attendants and will likely need to separate them to prevent further escalation or an incident. This happened aboard flight 5090 from Greenville-Spartanburg on Tuesday, October 13. Endeavor Air, which is wholly-owned by Delta Airlines, operated the CRJ-900, registration N132EV. The aircraft continued to Detroit and taxied to gate C21, where managers were reportedly waiting. AIRLIVE’s report, October 16, 2026 A regional jet this size has a minimum cabin crew of two flight attendants. So when a couple of them get into it, that’s all of them. I’ve covered crew disagreements that went much further. In January 2016, a Delta flight from Los Angeles to Minneapolis diverted to Salt Lake City after a reported fist fight between flight attendants. A third trying to intervene was struck as well. There’s also a more recent example involving the same regional airline. On May 27, Endeavor’s Delta flight 4854 from Cleveland to Detroit was canceled after police removed flight attendants following a reported assault. Passengers were told there was a lack of crew. That was accurate, but it left out how the airline had wound up short of people to work the flight in the first place. Topics on this page
