A man then comes out of a flat, and the two appear to have an argument after speaking to each other.In the video, the delivery boy rings the flat's doorbell. The man who comes outside says something to him, following which an argument appears to break out. The man then snatches the delivery boy's mobile phone and starts assaulting him.The footage shows the man slapping and kicking the delivery boy. During the incident, the delivery agent can be seen asking for his mobile phone back. A woman also comes out of the flat and remains present during the incident. The footage further shows the delivery boy being taken inside the flat. It is being claimed that the man assaulted him inside the flat as well. After some time, the delivery boy is brought back outside.The video is reportedly from Ganga Heights apartment in the Bhawanuan police station area of Meerut. The incident took place at around 9:30 pm on August 14, 2026. The delivery boy has been identified as Amit. He was assaulted after arriving five minutes late to deliver the order.CO Sadar Dehat Sudhir Kumar said a viral video had come to the police's attention through social media. He said an investigation into the facts established that the incident took place on August 14, 2026.According to Kumar, a delivery agent of Blinkit had arrived with an order, and the accused misbehaved with and assaulted him on the pretext that he had arrived late. Police have identified all the people involved in the incident.Kumar said police were obtaining a written complaint from the complainant and were registering a case at Bhawanuan police station under the relevant sections. He said police teams were conducting continuous raids to arrest the accused and that the accused would be arrested soon.The CO said the situation at the spot remains peaceful and there is no law-and-order issue.
