His expressions, outfits, dance moves and increasingly iconic one-liners have given the actor-politician a .The fandom has now spilled offline.At the Civil Lines branch of Social in Delhi, some Gen Z gathered for a Ravi Kishan-themed party where guests dressed up as him, danced like him and delivered his iconic dialogues. (Photo: Cinergy, Social Offline) The event was organised by Cinergy, a community and experience platform founded by 27-year-old Delhi-based filmmaker and experience designer Samarth. “We had almost 80 registrations, but some people couldn’t make it because the Prime Minister’s event was taking place at SRCC that day,” Samarth said. (Photo: Cinergy, Social Offline) As for the concept, it came from simply watching the internet do its thing. 27-year-old Samarth, who describes himself as a filmmaker first and an experience curator second, started Cinergy with the intention of promoting independent art and building a community around artists and creators. This event was a departure from that usual indie-art audience. The event poster. “Since Ravi Kishan was trending and people were reacting to all the memes around it, I thought, why not use that as an opportunity to bring people together? We wanted to celebrate an artist, have some fun, meet new people and play games together,” Samarth told India Today Digital.Before the event, he even put out a fashion moodboard on Instagram to give guests ideas for their Ravi Kishan transformations. The response was enthusiastic, with people turning up in his various viral versions. A guest recreated his iconic ‘Gucci’ look, while another imitated the infamous ‘Dola Ni Aaya Dola’ look. There was a Ravi Kishan dance battle, with guests competing while dressed as him. There was a dialogue challenge for the best Ravi Kishan impression.And then there was perhaps the most literal interpretation of his internet mythology: Ravi Kishan currency.The organisers created fake currency notes featuring Ravi Kishan and hid them around the venue.
