Officers have been continuously scanning CCTV footage from the area and questioning people who may have had access to Kumar's home. Kumar, who lived alone, had retired from a private school and later joined an NGO involved in social work. It is alleged that the perpetrators first latched on the doors of neighbouring houses from outside to prevent residents from coming out before entering Kumar's home.They allegedly began stealing valuables from the house.
