A 28-year-old man died after allegedly coming into contact with a live street light pole in Delhi, police said. The deceased, identified as Sandeep, was returning home after completing his work shift when the incident occurred on the night of August 27.Sandeep worked in medical nursing care in Surajmal Vihar and had reportedly finished his shift at around 8 pm before heading home.ELECTROCUTED WHILE RETURNING HOMEAccording to the information available, Sandeep came into contact with a street light pole located on the divider of Somnath Marg. He suffered a fatal electric shock.Police were informed about the incident and reached the spot. Sandeep was subsequently taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The post-mortem examination cited electrocution as the cause of Sandeep's death.A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law, and an investigation is underway. Sandeep, son of the late Sahib Singh, worked in medical nursing care in Surajmal Vihar.
