Police sources said the victim was also attacked with a knife near a Durga temple in front of a local MLA’s office.Police are examining CCTV footage to identify and trace the two accused.The timestamp on the footage indicates that the incident took place at around 3:30 am. However, an eyewitness security guard told police that the attack occurred at around 4:30 am. According to the guard’s account, two men were attacking the victim with a knife. When he tried to intervene and drive the attackers away, the accused assaulted him and also attempted to attack him before fleeing the spot.The guard subsequently alerted the police about the incident. VICTIM DECLARED DEAD AT HOSPITALPolice reached the spot after receiving information and found the victim seriously injured. He was subsequently declared dead.The victim was beaten with wooden logs during the attack, while police sources also said a knife was used. Investigators are examining the circumstances of the assault and the exact sequence of events to determine how the victim died.Delhi Police and forensic teams reached the scene and examined the area.
