(Credits: PTI)Delhi Police have arrested a man for creating and circulating an objectionable AI-generated poster targeting Additional Deputy Commissioner Vivek Bhagat, who is facing allegations of sexually harassing a woman journalist during a protest at Jantar Mantar on October 3.According to police, the accused used artificial intelligence to create a poster showing Bhagat allegedly misbehaving with and molesting a woman journalist. The poster was subsequently circulated on social media, allegedly as part of a conspiracy to create tension and disturb public order.The accused has been arrested and taken into police custody. Police suspect that more people may have been involved in creating and circulating the AI-generated content and are making efforts to identify and arrest them.The case comes amid a controversy surrounding Bhagat, who was promoted to the post of Additional Deputy Commissioner on Monday along with 11 other officers. Bhagat, a 2018-batch DANIPS officer, had been serving as an assistant commissioner. A senior police officer said the promotions were routine and had been proposed well before the allegations against Bhagat surfaced.Meanwhile, the Crime Branch is examining sexual harassment complaints filed by three women journalists against police officers deployed during the October 3 protest at Jantar Mantar, where demonstrators had demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The investigation into the complaints and the separate probe into the AI-generated poster are underway.- Ends
