People hold umbrellas and enjoy the rainy weather at Kartavya Path in New Delhi on August 5, 2026. | Photo Credit: ANI Delhiites woke up to a cloudy sky on Sunday (September 6, 2026), and the city recorded a minimum temperature of 24. 6 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season's average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).During the 24 hours ending at 8.30 a.m. on Sunday (September 6, 2026), Delhi received 30 mm of rainfall, it said.The weather department has predicted cloudy sky with moderate rain and the maximum temperature expected to reach around 32 degrees Celsius.Relative humidity was recorded at 98%.The air quality was recorded in the 'satisfactory' category at 9 a.m., with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 57, according to Sameer App.According to the Central Pollution Control Board, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
