Deion Sanders wasn't happy that some players were laughing after blowout loss

Published September 20, 2026 10:32 AM Saturday night’s blowout loss to Northwestern had some Colorado players not behaving like they were in a “fucking library.” And coach Deion Sanders wasn’t pleased with that.After the 41-7 blowout absorbed by the Buffaloes, coach Deion Sanders made it clear that he wasn’t happy that some players seemed to be happy after losing so badly.“You know, you did see a couple guys that I just got on, because I don’t understand how much — how you can have joy in a loss, especially when I’m upset,” Sanders told reporters. “And I’m walking right behind you. I don’t understand that. I can’t never understand that. Because I want to win every darn thing, and I can’t understand how in the world, do you find joy, or you could find a laughing matter when I’m right behind you walking in? I don’t understand that. And I addressed it. And I’m gonna put my foot in it, not on it.”Based on the latest outcome, Sanders needs to put his foot in a lot of things, especially with the Big 12 schedule starting next week for 2-1 Colorado.
