Sign in to your TheGamer account Only a few days after Dead By Daylight had announced its official NieR: Automata collaboration teaser, all skins included in the set have now officially been released alongside several brand-new gameplay trailers showing them off. Kicking off the October season alongside numerous Halloween-themed cosmetics like the Academia Rift Pass, the NieR skins have already been getting plenty of attention on their own. Although NieR: Automata is no stranger to crossovers with countless games under its belt over the years, the latest release is facing several of the same criticisms as its recent crossover efforts, alongside a few new concerns that are more than a little shocking. Dead By Daylight's NieR Skins Are Officially Here Unlike what was shown in the initial teaser trailer, the NieR: Automata event only brings a total of three skins to the game, which adds two legendary survivor skins with A2 for Yuki Kimura and 2B for Feng Min, alongside a Very Rare Emil skin for The Legion Killer, which can all be seen in Dead By Daylight's official collection reveal trailer on X. All three skins will also only be available for purchase individually rather than included as a bundle like some previous collaborations, with all three costing a total of 4,050 Auric Cells, which is marginally cheaper than the previous Overwatch collaboration that cost more than the original game itself, albeit while featuring more characters than DBD's crossover. Fans Have More Than A Few Opinions On The Collab While plenty of fans are more than happy to see the fan-favorite crossover characters finally make their way to Dead by Daylight after all these years, the comments under Dead by Daylight's official post have already been flooded with fans pointing out the flaws in 2B's character's skin, and demanding a "complete model rework." Although A2 and Emil were met with a more favorable response due to their close resemblance to the game and surprising level of detail on Emil's killer skin, which even includes a Lunar Tear flower on his coat, fans also voiced plenty of complaints over the character choices for both. With Sable being a number one pick for A2 combined with the fact that Emil's choice as a killer feels relatively out of character for him, or would have at least fit better with the flying Wraith, the response has been splitting fans heavily since the official reveal. Regardless of the reaction, hopefully the success of the collaboration could see even more fan-favorite characters from across the franchise make an appearance in Dead By Daylight next with a similar level of detail, especially 9S, who was confusingly absent from the new crossover.
