Lokesh Kanagaraj’s DC recorded a significant improvement at the box office on Saturday. The film, which marks the filmmaker’s acting debut, earned Rs 6.70 crore nett in India on Saturday, according to trade website Sacnilk. This marks a 52.3 per cent increase from its Rs 4.40 crore nett opening-day collection.With the Day 2 growth, DC’s India nett collection has now reached Rs 11.10 crore. The film’s India gross currently stands at Rs 12.74 crore. It was screened across 3,549 shows on Saturday, with the stronger second-day performance giving the film a boost going into the rest of its opening weekend.The Tamil version led the collections, contributing Rs 4.55 crore to the Day 2 India nett. It recorded an overall occupancy of 63.33 per cent, with the highest turnout coming during the night shows at 80.38 per cent. Morning shows recorded 45.31 per cent occupancy, followed by 67.38 per cent in the afternoon and 51.85 per cent in the evening. The Telugu version added Rs 1.75 crore nett and recorded an overall occupancy of 42.45 per cent.
