Daycare owner ‘forced girl, 2, to BITE another toddler’ as she faces 10 years in prison

Police reportedly brought charges after reviewing footage of the alleged August 26 incident at the daycare, around 25 miles south of Dallas. An arrest affidavit obtained by KWTX claims Garrett grabbed one two-year-old girl’s right arm before placing her other hand on the back of a second toddler’s head. Investigators allege she then “physically manipulated” the second girl’s head downwards while raising the first child’s arm towards her mouth. Garrett allegedly used her left hand to hold the first toddler’s arm in place, preventing her from pulling away as the other girl bit her. “Once Jane Doe #2 bit Jane Doe #1 on the lower part of her right arm between her wrist and her elbow Garrett then took her hand off the back of Jane Doe #2’s head,” police claimed in the affidavit, according to KWTX. The girl who allegedly carried out the bite then pulled her head back and “took both of her hands up to the side of her own head as if she was upset,” the affidavit claims. Most read in The Sun Garrett allegedly continued holding the other child’s arm before she “briskly walked her to the other side of the playground.” The affidavit does not state whether the toddler suffered an injury as a result of the alleged bite. Court records seen by People show Garrett has been charged with injury to a child. The alleged incident is also being investigated by the Department of Family and Protective Services, Hill County District Attorney Mark Pratt confirmed. If convicted of the third-degree felony charge, Garrett could be sentenced to up to a decade in prison. Comment now
