But according to BBC Sport, the former porn and newspaper mogul is planning to ignore the advice and turn up anyway. Sullivan retains a 38.8 per cent stake in West Ham, who were relegated from the Premier League last campaign. But there is expected to be a lively attendance this weekend after a whopping 55,000 season tickets were snapped up during the off-season. Seven women accused Sullivan of abusing his power and preying on them for sex following a joint investigation from The Times and BBC Panorama. All women were in their late teens or early twenties at the time the alleged incidents took place, with some dating back to the 1980s. London Stadium operators said earlier this week: “Given the potential for demonstrations and anti-social behaviour by some spectators, we have recommended to the club that he does not attend. “We have also requested advance notice of any planned attendance so that appropriate safety and operational measures can be put in place.” The West Ham Fan Advisory Board also called on Sullivan to stay away, urging him not to put “personal interest before the good of the club”. Part of Sullivan’s June statement read: “I have recently become aware that factually incorrect and entirely false, decades-old allegations concerning my personal life are due to be broadcast and published. “After a lifetime spent building businesses in the adult industry in which I have met thousands of women, it is sadly inevitable that a small number of improper conduct claims are being made against me. I categorically deny these claims.” Comment now
