David Krumholtz Explains Why He Missed ’10 Things I Hate About You’ Reunion On ‘DWTS’: “Love Them All”

As Julia Stiles paid tribute to Heath Ledger on Dancing with the Stars, one 10 Things I Hate About You star was unable to attend the televised reunion. Following Tuesday’s “Dedication Night” on Season 35 of the ABC dance competition show, David Krumholtz explained why he was not able to join his co-stars in supporting Stiles at the live taping. “Good morning, here I am in the Catskill Mountains, upstate New York. Fall foliage in full effect,” he began in a video on Instagram. “I am here shooting a film. I could not be in LA for Dancing with the Stars last night.” Krumholtz continued, “I would have loved, loved, loved to have been there. Everyone looked so amazing. Julia’s tribute to my dear friend who I miss every single day was amazing and stunning, and I’m so proud of her. And I thought the cast looked amazing. Watch on Deadline “They all look so young still, and it would have been weird,” said Krumholtz, taking off his beanie to reveal a bald spot. “Because I shaved what’s left of my hair, and then it becomes a whole internet fodder. ‘Oh, look what happened to him.’ I didn’t want that. But that’s not why I wasn’t there. I would have dealt with it. Anyway, love them all, love you all.” Stiles commented on Krumholtz’s post, “We love you Krumholtz!” After Stiles performed a dance with pro Ezra Sosa to Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”, she was joined onstage by her 10 Things co-stars Larisa Oleynik, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gabrielle Union, Andrew Keegan and Susan May Pratt. Krumholtz’s post comes after her explained in August that he recently “decided to put my career on hold” to focus on his mental health, following a previous announcement that some believed was him retiring.
