Daughter texts 'I miss you', dad travels 14 hours to show up at her door

After his daughter messaged saying she missed him, a father travelled 14 hours to see her for a day. She said she had messaged her father one night, simply telling him that she was thinking about him.She did not expect him to arrive the next morning.“When I opened my door, and there he was with a backpack,” she wrote, recalling the moment she found her father standing outside. He had travelled for 14 hours to reach her, spent around eight hours with her and then made the 14-hour journey back. Even during the short visit, he continued taking work calls, but made sure to spend those precious hours doing the little things that mattered to his daughter.He cleaned her dishes, took her out and fed her favourite food. There was no grand announcement or elaborate plan, just a father quietly making time for his daughter because she had said she wanted to see him. Before leaving, he gave her a simple piece of advice: “Whatever you do, just be happy. I’m always with you.”For her, that sentence summed up the entire visit. “He didn’t come because I asked him to.
