Make Your Favorite Dateables Fight Gods In The Date Everything! Wild Cards Collaboration Published Aug 31, 2026, 11:41 AM EDT Gabrielle is a staff writer for TheGamer who began working in gaming journalism in May 2022, immediately after graduating cum laude with her Bachelors in English. A lifelong lover of in-depth RPGs and cozy simulation games alike, she enjoys having married her passions for both writing and video games in her work. She's spent her life chasing Platinum trophies and completionist collections, even before a company started paying her to do it on the internet. We’ve already had tons of fun with the characters from Date Everything since its bombastic June 2025 release. We’ve loved some, friend-zoned others, fully realized and set these beautiful items off into the world. These days, you can find things like a pair of Dateviator sunglasses, plushies, body pillows, and more to keep the love going for your favorites after you’ve rolled (and even dated) the credits. Now, get ready to choose some of the more iconic Date Everything characters to join your decks in Wild Cards in this unique mobile TCG title on August 31 for its Fall 2026 battle pass season. Wild Cards, Wild Dating Sim, Perfect Match Ever since signing with Creative Arts Agency (CAA) earlier in 2026, developer Sassy Chap Games has been searching for new ways to bring its beloved IP to new mediums and keep the love going for its quirky dating sim. The team has already shared a handful of ideas - vertical shorts, manga, and more - and this collaboration with Wild Cards developer Avid Games is its first chance to test the waters on a TCG. When we spoke back in February about signing with CAA, Sassy Chap Games CEO Robbie Daymond was emphatic about his desire to realize Date Everything as a different kind of game next. “If I had my dream, we’d bring Date Everything to some form of tabletop,” he said. Now, as it debuts a new battle pass season, Wild Cards will feature several characters from Date Everything as playable cards. It’s a mobile TCG “built around the idea that anything can battle anything,” so expect your favorite Dateables to be pitted against everything from weather events to historical figures to deities (oh my). In Wild Cards, you create decks of cards comprised of Heroes and a selection of 12 cards from four categories - Science, Nature, History, and Culture. Each card has a unique ability, some of which can create powerful combo moves that stack your attack in this turn-based fight. Balance energy requirements and attack power, charge up your avatar’s special attack, and challenge other players online in real-time to see whose oddball roster of artistic masterpieces, landmarks, inventors, and more is the strongest. The game launched in March 2026 for iOS and Android and has done battle pass collaborations with several IPs so far, with Date Everything arriving as the Cyanide and Happiness web comic season comes to a close. The game is free-to-play and offers plenty of ways to build decks further, adding to the chaos as you unlock all sorts of new cards by spinning a roulette wheel for occasional freebies throughout the day, earning new packs of cards as you level up or complete challenges, spending your in-game currency, or purchasing them through microtransactions. The First Collab For The Sassy Chaps, Finally Realized During the Date Everything battle pass season, which will cost $9.99 USD and gradually unlock extra rewards over the coming weeks, you can try your luck on pulling your favorite Dateables from the digital TCG. Additionally, anyone who subscribes to the battle pass will get a playable avatar selected from a fan poll on the Wild Cards website earlier this summer. Though the trophies belong with Shelly the shelf in Date Everything itself, it was Skylar Specs, who emerges from your Dateviators to act as a guide of sorts, that won out in the end and will be added to Wild Cards as the battle pass season’s complimentary avatar. Presented in order of their share of the final votes, the other options were Chance the D20, Eddie and Volt the electricity in your house, Bathesba the bathtub, Henry Hoove the vacuum cleaner, and Rebel the rubber ducky. “We’ve got more than 100 beloved characters,” Daymond said in the announcement for the collab that even features re-dos of standard Wild Cards designs to feature the DE! cast, “and seeing them outside of the core game has always been a joy; from fan-made content and merch to new media like Wild Cards.” Avid Games has been making card games since 2012, and Daymond is eager to praise the team, saying they “know card games (which we also love) and they understand what makes Date Everything fun,” so the pairing seems a match made in quirky creator-led media heaven. “Wild Cards has always been about manic team-ups,” Avid Games CEO Paul Mayze said, “and Sassy Chap’s Dateables are exactly that.” The collaboration will feature plenty of new cards that feature the Dateables with combos built around their relationships with one another in the breakout hit 2025 visual novel, and though it’s the first time we’re seeing them in a game outside their own, who’s to say it’ll be the last? The Sassy Chaps are still on the lookout for new ways to continue the burning love for its IP and memorable characters, and the team is eager to see what’s on the horizon. The Date Everything Wild Cards season begins August 31 and runs through October 11. The visual novel dating sim itself is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
