Darts star reveals he’s having therapy to control emotions after wild rages and admits ‘I don’t like being that person’

CAMERON MENZIES has revealed eating salad was behind his TWO stone weight loss and darts revival. The world No26 admits swapping pizzas for healthier meals while travelling has helped transform his life both on and off the oche. Hopefully, a couple more but that is for health reasons. It has helped massively just changing my diet. “When you travel to hotels you’re used to eating easy. So, you just go on Uber [Eats] and buy pizzas. “But now I am buying salads.” Cammy has also turned to hypnotherapy to help control his emotions on stage, with the benefits already clear after his stunning run to the World Cup semi-finals alongside Gary Anderson for Scotland. He added: “The PDC got me involved with hypnotherapy. It has helped not just with darts but with life. “I haven’t been with him the last couple of weeks just because I have been so busy. It’s helped because I don’t like being that person. “I don’t mean to be that person. I get caught in the moment. But I am all adrenaline as you can see.” There has been some concern for Cammy in recent months after he lashed out in anger following his shock 3-2 first round exit to Charlie Manby at the World Darts Championship in December. He repeatedly punched a table at Ally Pally and walked away with a set of bloodied knuckles. Menzies has since been fined £2,500 and handed a four-month suspended ban over his antics. There were also fears for Menzies when he fainted during his World Matchplay clash with Ross Smith. He had to be helped off the stage and given medical attention during the worrying scenes.
