Darts chiefs accepted that the substances were taken out of competition, but this was his second doping offence. Sign up for the Sport newsletter Thank you! Taylor has since served his ban, and marked his comeback by winning the Coventry Open earlier this month. The Bristolian will hope to earn back his PDC tour card ahead of next year. Reflecting on what happened, Taylor told ADC: “Overall, I mean completely teetotal now, not even drinking. “So after 15 years of playing with a drink in my system, to now doing it without a drink is hard. “But I have shown myself I can still perform without the drink in my body. “A lot of people have asked me how I cope in the environment with what I have been through, not drinking.
