Marvel Rivals has a reputation for a few things, one of which being a fairly toxic community. It's not League of Legends levels just yet, but I myself run into a game that has someone rage baiting or slinging slurs in the chat on a semi-regular basis. A lot of that is down to NetEase's lackluster moderation, though it does work occasionally. A rather common occurrence among players is communication bans, which will occur when the Marvel Rivals system detects you're saying or typing nefarious things using the in-game chat systems. You'll be banned from speaking on a mic, and restricted from using the game's in-game text chat, and it's one of a few methods to weed out bad behavior. Interestingly, though, it seems like this kind of ban can actually be tracked. According to a Marvel Rivals fan who spends their time collecting data on various elements of the game, they've figured out exactly who the most toxic characters are in Marvel Rivals. Surprising No One, DPS Are The Most Toxic Players In Marvel Rivals To do this, they've collected data on the players who are receiving abusive communication bans, and are looking at what that player's main hero is. They then applied a percentage to that particular hero to see exactly which heroes are played the most by toxic players, arranging them all into a lovely list. Sitting in fifth is Black Panther, followed by Elsa Bloodstone in fourth. Taking the first podium place is Black Widow in third, followed by Black Cat in second, and the list is topped by Daredevil, who is pretty clear of second place with an almost 10 percent rate. There are a couple of things to note about this, the first being that pretty much all of these characters are strong in the current meta, besides Black Panther. It makes sense that the most toxic players would have the most hours on the heroes that are considered very strong, as winning is more of a need for these people. If they don't win, they get tilted more easily. The second is that, funnily enough, these are all DPS characters. Again, it's not all that surprising, since DPS will be the most commonly played role, but this hasn't really done much to help the dive DPS community shake off the reputation it has for being a bunch of whiners. That being said, if you see a Daredevil in your game, you now know that there's an almost 10 percent chance they could be a slur slinger.
