The Bears had the most impressive offensive performance of Week 1 and one of their players’ contributions to it was recognized by the league on Wednesday. Running back D’Andre Swift has been named the NFC offensive player of the week. Swift ran 18 times for 124 yards and three touchdowns during Chicago’s 59-37 win over the Panthers. The three touchdowns are a single-game high for Swift, who also caught one pass for 10 yards during the win. It’s the second time that Swift has taken offensive player of the week honors.
