‘Dancing With the Stars’ viewers slam shocking elimination: ‘This is so ridiculous’

Entertainment"Dancing With the Stars" host Alfonso Ribeiro.DisneyMany “Dancing With the Stars” fans were shocked by the elimination results during the Tuesday, Oct. 6 episode.“Summer House” star Ciara Miller and her partner Brandon Armstrong were sent home at the end of the Mariah Carey-themed episode. The duo scored a 21 out of 30 for their jazz routine to Carey’s song “Emotions.”Miller landed in the middle of the leaderboard on Tuesday night, tying for sixth place with baseball player Jackson Olson, actress Julia Stiles and “The Bachelorette” alum Tyler Cameron. She placed above actress Tatyana Ali and comedians Connor Wood and Guillermo Rodriguez.“Dancing With the Stars” eliminations are based on a combination of judges’ scores and fan votes, and it seems Miller and Armstrong fell short with the voters. Many fans were stunned to see Miller’s “DWTS” journey come to an end in week four.Alfonso Ribeiro, Ciara Miller, Brandon Armstrong and Julianne Hough on "Dancing With the Stars."Disney“Ciara got straight 7s [from the judges] and it was her best dance. guillermo got TWO 4s and not even close to his best dance like this is so ridiculous,” one viewer wrote via X.“Ciara getting eliminated is so sick and twisted. She was improving every single week… which is what the show is SUPPOSED to be about. Either fix the way fan votes are weighted or bring back judge’s save,” another tweeted.Other fans argued that it’s time for fan-favorite Rodriguez to go, as he’s consistently been at the bottom of the leaderboard each week.“Ciara going home before guillermo is diabolical,” one Reddit user wrote.READ MORE: ‘Dancing With the Stars’ 2026 cast: Where you’ve seen each celeb before“Bro stop voting for people who literally CANT dance aka Guillermo bc it’s sending people who actually CAN dance home,” another viewer tweeted. After the elimination results were announced, Armstrong said he was “super bummed” to see Miller’s journey end.“I think this competition really is about the journey. I’m super bummed because I think Ciara was one of those people that was getting better every single week,” he said. “I think it was noticeable. I think it was cut short, which is a bummer, but a lot of great competitors left. I loved every single second I had with her.”Miller added that she felt “so grateful” to Armstrong. “This experience has been the moment of a lifetime and there’s no one else I would rather have had this moment with,” she said.
