'Dahi Bhalli' vs 'Mahakutteshwar': Delhi's fat dogs fight for the fattest title

Delhi has officially found a new way to settle an extremely important question: who has the biggest chonk? The capital is hosting its first-ever online Fat Dog competition, and the lineup already includes enough round boys and girls to make choosing a winner a serious problem.Instagram account Fat Dogs of Delhi, which regularly shares pictures of Delhi’s chubbiest four-legged residents, announced the competition for dogs across the city.And with 64 participants, one grand prize and some truly spectacular names, this is shaping up to be less of a competition and more of a celebration of Delhi’s finest chonks.The competition runs from September 24 to 29, with dog parents asked to submit a picture of their pet along with its name and area. Soon enough, the organisers revealed the participants, and that is where things got particularly entertaining.Take a look at the post here: In another post shared by the account, the list featured dogs with names that were almost as memorable as their sizes. There was Kutta Singh from Rohini, Mahakutteshwar from Noida, Chonku, Chonky and Chonkers from Kamla Nagar, and Bhondu ki Barfi from Lajpat Nagar, among plenty of others."Meet our participants," the organisers wrote while introducing the contestants.And Delhi was clearly taking its new sporting event very seriously. Blinkit even joined the campaign, sharing a picture of Kutta Singh from Rohini on its official X account and throwing its support behind the contestant."Full support to Kutta Singh from Rohini, free treats for the winner btw. Woof woof," Blinkit wrote.The competition had viewers scrolling through the entries and apparently reconsidering their own submissions.One person admitted they had been feeling confident until Rajpal Singh appeared, while another was simply overwhelmed by the combination of all the names and chonky dogs.Someone else, meanwhile, had a very specific question about one of the participants and wanted to know exactly who had been responsible for feeding the dog so much.With 64 dogs competing for a single grand prize, Delhi now has a very serious decision to make: choosing the city's ultimate fat dog is not going to be easy.- Ends
