DA for Tamil Nadu government employees increases from 60% to 63%

Joseph Vijay on Saturday (October 31, 2026) announced a hike in dearness allowance (DA) for government employees and teachers, following a similar increase for Central government employees.A State government press release said the DA for Central government employees had been increased from 60% to 63% with effect from July 2026. The revised DA would apply to the Tamil Nadu government employees and teachers with effect from the same date.A total of 16 lakh government employees, teachers, pensioners, and family pensioners would benefit from the increase.
