Cyclosporiasis outbreak linked to shredded iceberg lettuce expands to 15 states

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has said it is investigating other outbreaks and illnesses of cyclosporiasis nationally that are unrelated to the 15-state outbreak.There are at least 10,468 laboratory-confirmed cyclosporiasis cases in 47 states as of Tuesday, according to CDC data. This includes 517 hospitalizations. The agency said it is also aware of at least 12,255 additional cases that have not yet been laboratory-confirmed.
