If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there. Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers. When it comes to iconic gaming villains, Adam Smasher deserves a mention. As the tormentor and ultimate murderer of Johnny Silverhand, we all remember our first meeting with the cyborg mercenary in the early hours of Cyberpunk 2077, and we all remember the feeling of satisfaction when we could finally go head-to-head with the cybernetic villain. Also appearing in Netflix's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Adam Smasher has become a key antagonist of the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, which means it comes as no surprise that he will now appear on the ever-growing roster of one hit battle royale game. Epic Games Yes, that is right, at long last, Adam Smasher has been added to the Fortnite roster and is now a playable character and available in the Item Shop after yesterday's refresh. His arrival was teased back in March, but it seems as though Fortnite players will now be able to inhabit the body (or at least the skin) of Adam Smasher as they torment the likes of Homer Simpson, Darth Vader, John Wick, and more. The news dropped yesterday courtesy of an official Twitter/X post by Cyberpunk 2077's account. It read: No sense in prolonging the inevitable… Adam Smasher, the boogeyman of Night City, arrives in the Fortnite Item Shop in today’s refresh!" However, that was not all, as the announcement also came alongside the news that Epic Games users could get their hands on an exciting deal to celebrate the brand-new collaboration. If you purchase Cyberpunk 2077 on the Epic Games Store (which is currently 65% off thanks to the MEGA Sale), you will earn yourself the Adam Smasher skin in Fortnite at no extra cost. You can find more details about this epic deal here, but there is no denying that it is a must-buy, especially if you have yet to play Cyberpunk 2077. As you can imagine, the arrival of the iconic cyborg mercenary caused fans to go wild, and they took to the Twitter comments to share their thoughts, and most importantly, their appreciation. "You had me at Cyberpunk 2077. Time to buy some V-bucks," one comment read. Another agreed, adding, "THIS IS SO COOL! Time to purchase Cyberpunk again and relive Night City on my third account." Of course, others used this opportunity, and the fact that the Social Media Manager for Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the best, to ask about Project Orion, the highly anticipated sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 which is currently in development. When asking about where the sequel is, the official Cyberpunk 2077 account simply replied, "In the oven." Although this tells us nothing we do not already know, it is still reassuring to see that it is still in development and has seemingly not run into any issues. Who knows? We may just get the beloved Cyberpunk 2077 continuation earlier than we had first thought.
