It was dark and gloomy throughout yesterday, with rain hampering the progress of the athletes. But today, it looks like the weather is quite bright. Not gonna lie, it is cold right now, but at least it is not raining. Jul 30, 2026 14:22 ISTCommonwealth Games Live: TJ, Neeraj start the dayTejaswin Shankar will kick-off India's day in the Commonwealth Games today. TJ hurt his knee during the men's high-jump event a couple of days ago. One of the favourites to win the event, TJ was in tears after getting ruled out. He has been under treatment over the last couple of days, and will be in action today in the men's decathlon event. Right after TJ's event finish, we will gear up for Neeraj Chopra's return. The men's javelin event will begin at 2:55 pm. The CWG means a lot to Neeraj, who got his big break in this event way back in 2018. He was forced to skip the 2022 event which was won by Arshad Nadeem. Neeraj returns for this edition, and will face off against the Olympic champion Nadeem once again. Jul 30, 2026 14:11 ISTCommonwealth Games Live: What is our blog about? We here at India Today go beyond the broadcast. Not only will you find the live coverage in our blog, we will take you through the context of the runs that athletes make, their back stories, what have they been trying to achieve in the competition. Because in athletics, it is not just the top 3 positions that decide everything. Sometimes athletes are trying to get to their personal bests, sometimes they are preparing for a different event. Take for example the Gurindervir thing. He finished 2nd in his heats right. Many celebrated it. But we were concerned the second the timer showed 10.39 seconds. When knew that this was not good to qualify for the semi-finals of the men's 100m. That's what you will find here. Everything. So kick back and relax as we build for up today's CWG events. The competition starts today from 2:30 pm IST. Jul 30, 2026 14:06 ISTCommonwealth Games Live: When is Neeraj Chopra in action?India's javelin star Neeraj Chopra returns to action today. It is an important event considering the 2018 CWG gold medallist will be competing only in his second event after a long-drawn injury break. CWG will put Neeraj in a very tough field, which includes the likes of Arshad Nadeem and Rumesh Pathirage among others. This event will decide how Neeraj builds up for the Asian Games 2026. The men's javelin event starts from 2:55 pm IST.
