When he found it cold, he asked the shopkeeper to heat it.What followed, according to Singh, was anything but a warm response. The request triggered an argument between Singh and the shopkeeper. The dispute soon escalated, with the shopkeeper and his associates abusing and assaulting Singh.He claimed that the accused twisted his thumb during the assault, causing him serious injury, adding that his gold chain was broken and snatched from his neck, while Rs 19,570 in cash was taken from his trouser pocket.
