Cult favourite restaurant chain mysteriously closes all sites out of the blue in a devastating blow to diners

A CULT favourite restaurant chain has suddenly closed all of its sites. London-based BBQ restaurant group Bodean’s has said its three restaurants across the capital are “currently closed”. A notice has appeared on the chain’s website apologising for any inconvenience caused. It said it hoped to welcome guests again in the future. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! The chain had sites in Soho, Tower Hill and Camden. The message on its site read: “We’re currently closed. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to thank you for your continued support and loyalty. “We appreciate your understanding during this time and hope to welcome you again in the future.” The chain was founded by Andre Blais in 2002 and previously had sites in Covent Garden, Balham, Muswell Hill and Clapham. Richard Turner, former executive chef at Hawksmoor, joined the group as chef director last year. He had launched a new menu across its restaurants focused on the brand’s original philosophy of “barbecue, bourbon and beer”. Most read in Money It comes as another steakhouse chain, Bar + Block, has said it will shut all its restaurants next month. The chain, which is owned by Whitbread, currently operates 20 sites across the UK.
