Candidates who have already submitted their applications successfully do not need to register again.The board said the decision follows a recent Supreme Court judgment stressing that eligible teachers should be given a reasonable opportunity to meet the statutory requirement of obtaining the prescribed Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualification.The official notice reads, ‘In view of the aforesaid and in the larger interest of candidates, it has been decided to provide an opportunity to all eligible candidates who could not avail themselves of the earlier application window by opening the online application portal from 25.08.2026 to 01.09.2026.’ CTET 2026 official notice.
