The Beckham’s youngest son’s performance comes a week after he released his eight-track debut EP Wear & Tear. Cruz included a nod to his mum, 52, in the album as he named one track Wannabe – the familiar title that launched her international pop career. However, it’s very different with references to David Bowie, Mick Jagger and wanting to be like John Lennon. He first announced he was launching a serious music career more than four years ago, when he was tipped to emulate Justin Bieber. But he took his time, crafted his sound, and has now emerged with his first project, which shows he isn’t following anyone else’s path. Pals of the Beckhams recently told The Sun that Cruz was “putting Brooklyn to shame” as he hit new career milestones with his music. Comment now
