Crimson Desert DLC Coming October 15

As if the last few weeks haven't been busy enough in gaming thanks to Gamescom, GTA 6's leaks and Extended Look, and the aftermath of Summer Game Fest, PlayStation decided to keep the news rolling with its usual September State of Play. As ever, not much was confirmed for the event outside of an "extended look" at Final Fantasy 7 Revelation to end things. That left plenty of room for today's State of Play to surprise us with some unexpected announcements and reveals. One great example of this was a new trailer for Crimson Desert's first DLC, Charting the Unknown, which is coming in just over a month and adds even more wild features to the game. State Of Play Reveals Crimson Desert DLC Somehow, Crimson Desert Can Get Even Denser Today's State of Play started off relatively quiet, but it got a lot bigger when Crimson Desert's first DLC, Charting the Unknown, was shown off. The expansion appears to take place after the base game, as Kliff and the gang are all shown to be much older like they were at the end of the story. I know what you're really wondering about, though - what is the DLC bringing to the table when it comes to gameplay features? Well, we got very quick glimpses at a few of them, including underwater exploration with a shark companion, base building, naval combat, and some more advancements to its already complicated combat mechanics. To be fair, while a lot of people make fun of how stacked Crimson Desert is with mechanics, what was shown in the DLC's trailer does seem like a fitting addition to the game. We'll know for sure how they turn out when the DLC releases in just over a month's time on October 15.
