Couple’s wedding day saved by bride’s grandad’s mobility scooter after groom breaks leg & ankle in drunken stag do fall

A GROOM who broke his leg and ankle on his stag do got married sat in a mobility scooter borrowed from his bride’s grandad. Gym instructor Andy said: “At first I was gutted on my wedding day as I felt I’d let Lisa down. “I like dancing all night so it was a bit annoying that I couldn’t get up and dance. “But I took it in my stride even though my foot was throbbing.” Social worker Lisa said: “One thing I was thinking before the wedding is, ‘If he’s on crutches we won’t be able to hold hands and walk around together’. “But when he was in his chair we could.
