Couple admit keeping dead baby in fridge for years despite moving home 10 times after youngster ‘stabbed to death’

A COUPLE have admitted to keeping their baby’s body in a cooler bag for years, moving the corpse at least 10 times between apartments. German national Natascha, 38, and Greek born Vassileios, 43, were arrested in Athens, Greece last month after police discovered the dead baby. The couple’s Hamburg lawyer, Christos Psarras, told BILD: “On average, they changed apartments every four to five months. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! “Whenever they left an apartment, they always took the baby out of one refrigerator and put it in the refrigerator in the new apartment.” This means they moved the baby’s body between ten or twelve times. The lawyer said the couple kept the child in a jar to “honour her memory”. “However, they couldn’t do this because other people were involved in the case”, the lawyer added. The parents initially told authorities that their child had been crying constantly and had died of natural causes. According to their lawyer, the child had been diagnosed with a health condition by a doctor. Most read in The Sun But in a shocking twist, the couple have now admitted the eight-month-old infant was killed by 10 stab wounds. “According to my clients, these were inflicted by a third party involved in the case,” the lawyer told the outlet. He could not provide more information about the identity of the alleged killer. Cops made the grim find after being called to a property in Kypseli, Athens, by the owner who alleged the family failed to pay rent. The apartment is located in the same neighbourhood where British volunteer Elizabeth Ross, 38, was found stuffed in a suitcase in July. During a search officers found the tiny body inside a glass container stuffed into a suitcase. Six people were found at the property during the search. Police found the couple, two boys aged 12 and nine and a 15-year-old pregnant girl. A 26-year-old Afghan man who said he was the girl’s partner, was also at the apartment. The girl and the German woman were both pregnant, police said. The family had “strange” relationships with one another, the manager of the apartment told news outlet GreekReporter. He added that cops also discovered sex toys and a camera connected to a computer inside the property. Sources told Protothema that the nine-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl were suffering from sexually transmitted diseases.
