After wrapping up the song, Pardi said, “I’m going to send that out to Summer Pardi because I love her. But, you know what? I love you, too.”“Please work things out with Summer,” one person replied to the video. “Wishing you all the best and your darling girls. You can’t get that time back with them.”“That is so sweet Jon sending it to Summer,” another replied.“Aww Summer loved this,” another wrote. “Uhh marriage is so hard. He needs to make it all better for them!”“Awwww praying for you both and your beautiful family!” another wrote. The video comes as Pardi has recently given some insight into how he is doing after the pair announced their split back in July. The singer opened up his DMs for questions on Sept. 7, according to Taste of Country, and after one fan asked how Pardi was “truly” doing, he replied, “Hanging in there. Just a little defeated right now.”He added that he believes things will improve.“I’m in the tunnel right now and it’s not a cave,” he wrote. “I will be out one day! Thanks for so many kind concerns and love. Onward! Best me and father is my goal!”While he didn’t name Summer, his answers gave the first real insight into the singer’s state after the news was revealed on July 3. Summer Pardi broke her silence shortly after the news was released. “I know many of you have seen the news about Jone and me,” she wrote on her Instagram stories, per WhiskeyRiff.com. “I wanted to acknowledge it here beyond the joint statement we put out. This has been a very difficult and deeply personal time for our family. While so much of our life is shared online, there are parts of it that I’ll always choose to keep private, especially something as difficult as this. “I’m so grateful for the kindness, prayers, and support so many of you have already show us,” she added. “It truly means more than you know. I will continue showing up on here and sharing links and parts of life with you, like I always have. This space is a part of my work, but it’s also a place that brings me joy, connecting with so many of you. Again, thank you for all of the love and support for our family.”WhiskeyRiff.com also recently obtained the divorce complaint filed by Summer on May 12.The site said that she cited “irreconcilable differences” as her reason for filing and requested primary custody of their two daughters — Presley Fawn, 3, and Sienna Grace, 2. Summer also requested that Jon be required to pay spousal support. The singer and his wife first shared the news — joining a wave of country music couples who have split up recently — last week.“After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” the statement read. “Our daughters will always remain our highest priority and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents.“Thank you for your understanding, support, and respect as we navigate these changes as a family. – Jon and Summer.”While that sounds amicable, there is bad news for Jon in WhiskeyRiff.com’s findings. The site said that Summer is represented by Rose Palermo, who is known as the “divorce attorney to the stars.” Palermo is also representing Jelly Roll in his divorce from Bunnie Xo and has represented Kelsea Ballerini, Conway Twitty and Wynonna Judd, among others, in the past. Pardi added another statement on his Instagram stories after their joint announcement. “While I navigate this next chapter, I’m going to take some time away from social media to focus on myself and my family,” he wrote. “Thanks to you all for the love and support. My team will handle posting for the time being. I’ll see you at the show.”Jon and Summer met in 2017 and were married for five years.Brian Linder is the trending editor at PennLive.com.
