An honour that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness. But sadness lies with us, not with Dolly.’ Parton’s nephew said he hoped she has been met by her husband Carl Dean, who died last year (Picture: AP) To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video ‘Dolly has lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus, surely met by Carl, her parents and countless others who have watched her and longed for her to meet them in the heavens,’ Seaver added, referring to Parton’s late husband Carl Dean, who died last year.
