COSMIC Epoch 1.11 Released With Wayland xdg-dialog-v1, Better Multi-GPU Handling

System76 developers just released COSMIC Epoch 1.11 as the newest point release to their Rust-written open-source desktop environment catering to their in-house Pop!_OS Linux distribution. With COSMIC Epoch 1.11 there is now xdg-dialog-v1 Wayland protocol support for improving how modal dialogs are presented. In addition to xdg-dialog-v1 for the COSMIC compositor, there are various fixes to the compositor code in that release. COSMIC Epoch 1.11 also brings many translation updates, fixing scrollbar padding in libcosmic, hybrid graphics fixes to ensure the correct GPU is used, MIME type association in the COSMIC text editor for JSON files, and other fixes. For the multi-GPU/hybrid graphics handling work, the COSMIC app library will now ensure the correct GPU is used for video games. The pop-launcher code is also ensuring the correct GPU used on hybrid systems. Downloads and more details on the COSMIC Epoch 1.11 desktop release via GitHub.
