It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX and YouTube. Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) has taken to creating a weapon while in prison in an attempt to show other inmates that she shouldn’t be messed with. The character has been behind bars ever since she was arrested for killing Theo Silverton (James Cartwright). At first, Sarah’s naivety over life in prison saw her attempt to connect with an inmate called Kacey. They got on, but the dynamic between the two women started to change when Kacey asked Sarah for Kit Green’s (Jacob Roberts) help with her son’s case. Refusing to do as she asked, Sarah was panicked when Kacey said that she’d no longer protect her from the other inmates. Believing that Kacey had a woman on the outside feeding her information, Sarah called Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), who confirmed that Harry is with his friend. Adam had met Harry’s new pal and his mum Lottie a couple of days ago. She explained that she was new to the area and asked for directions. They eventually got chatting, and Adam didn’t suspect for a second that Lottie was only speaking to him because he knows Sarah. During a confrontation, Lottie said to Adam and Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) that she’s friends with someone called Kacey on a social media platform, which was also the same place she was posting pictures of her son and Harry. She denied the claims that she was in cahoots with Kacey, and rushed off. Ask Metro Use AI to go deeper into the stories you care about – powered by Metro and trusted publications. Whether Lottie really was working with Kacey, or she just made a genuine mistake remains to be seen. Despite not having their answer, the situation left Adam, Kit and Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) all in agreement that they need to keep a closer eye on Harry in the future. She won’t! Bethany said, absolutely convinced. In Sarah’s cell though, we saw her stuffing snooker balls into a sock. Does she have this in case someone puts her in danger?
