Coronation Street star reveals that Sarah’s murder trial is ‘devastating’

After dumping boyfriend Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), it was unlikely Sarah expected him to remain single forever, but that doesn’t make it any easier for Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) to break the news that he has moved on in upcoming scenes. What makes it ten times harder is the fact that Bethany was one of the people he moved on with. ‘Ideally, Bethany wants her mum to forget about Kit and focus on herself and her release from prison,’ actress Lucy Fallon explained. ‘If Sarah gets out and reconciles with Kit, it will make Bethany’s secret even more complicated.’ Next week, Bethany arrives home to find that Kit has brought another woman to the flat, though when Kit tells her he’s not in the right headspace to kiss, the woman storms out. This way, Bethany hopes she won’t ever have to admit that she slept with him.’ And it isn’t just Kit who has moved on without Sarah around. Next week, Bethany’s conversation with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) is interrupted by Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell), who feels like celebrating after being offered Sarah’s job at the factory.
