The pair went public with their relationship two years later before moving in together in 2019. She gave birth to their first son Mexx that year and chose to step back from her role as Sophie Webster on Corrie after 15 years to focus on being a mum. Her second son Monroe arrived in 2020, with Kean proposing two years later. ‘Right now their focus is on their sons and keeping normality for them’, revealed an insider Credit: Splash The pair have also both unfollowed each other on social media Credit: Splash News Brooke shared the news on Instagram, posting a photograph of a picture her sons had drawn of her hand with a diamond ring on her finger. She spoke to The Sun On Sunday’s Fabulous Magazine back in June and opened up about returning to acting. Brooke said: “I left Corrie to have my little boy, then Covid hit, and then I had another little boy. “And then obviously Kean was still playing football at the time. So I was focusing on him, and I wanted to be with him wherever he was. “When he finished football in 2023, I took a part in the play The Syndicate. But I realised that touring with children is just not doable – it’s hard. Luckily for me, I was able to have a lot of time off with the boys. That will always be with me.” Brooke now plays drugs counsellor Abigail in Hollyoaks. She said: “I’ve had a few different auditions for Hollyoaks over the years, but nothing has ever seemed right for me. But this storyline, I 100 percent wanted to be part of. “I sat down with Kean and said: ‘What do we think? It’s in Liverpool. And obviously it’s totally doable.’ We made a pact a few years ago that, whatever opportunities come each other’s way, we should take them. “As long as one of us is with the kids, then we can make it work. I was there when he was playing football and now there is a different dynamic. “Plus, if I’m not working, I’m constantly looking for something to do and saying to Kean: ‘Shall we decorate?’ “I want to do something to get my creativity out in different ways. “So everyone, even my grandad, was like: ‘Please get a job.’ “Everyone around me is quite happy that I’m back in work, to be honest.”
