Coronation Street icon finally reappears 14 months after disappearance

(Picture: ITV/Danielle Baguley/Shutterstock) An iconic Coronation Street character is set to return to our screens in upcoming scenes, 14 months after their last appearance. Dr Gaddas (Christine Mackie) may only make sporadic appearances in the ITV soap, but she has garnered quite the fanbase among Corrie viewers. Next week, she is set to return to the cobbles, making her first appearance since July 2025. The last time we saw Dr Gaddas, she was picking up a takeaway from Speed Daal. It was there that she ran into Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) and revealed that she’d heard from his oncologist that he was cancer-free. Little did she know, Kevin had lied to Abi Webster (Sally Carman) about his results, making out that he had to have further treatment. Kevin was diagnosed with testicular cancer in February 2025 amid a tough time for the family. Eventually, the truth came out, and Abi left Kevin for brother Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard), who she’d been having an affair with – another relationship that ultimately ended in disaster. Dr Gaddas has been delivering good and bad news to our favourite Corrie characters since 2014. One of her first patients was Max Turner, who she diagnosed with ADHD, followed by Beth Tinker, who had developed a rash after using a bath bomb made by niece Sinead. In 1989, she appeared in one episode as a nurse, before returning in 1992 for two episodes as a character called Chris Jones. In 2010, she was back for another two-episode stint, this time as a character named Bella.
