Whilst the UK is in the midst of its fifth heatwave and has temperatures reaching 38 degrees, it seems the residents of Weatherfield are feeling chilly. The moment had fans in stitches, with one recording it and sharing the clip to TikTok with a sound that said “what the f***” over the top. They captioned the video: “So Sally and Tim have a new teen staying in their tardis house on Coronation Street, but they are going to struggle with the cost of bills if the heating needs to be on in a heatwave.” Another user commented: “Exactly what I thought”. As a second noticed: “Sally came down it full pj set and dressing gown too”. The soap follows real time and marks occasions like Christmas and Easter on the same day as real life, which means the Greater Manchester-hailing characters should also be experiencing the heatwave. However, some fans commented pointing out how the show is filmed in advance – with actors usually filming six to eight weeks in advance.
