| Freelance Soaps Reporter Published August 31, 2026 10:41am Updated August 31, 2026 10:42am A sad goodbye (Picture: Danielle Baguley/ITV) Nina Lucas has officially left Coronation Street, and we’re all really, really sad! With actress Mollie Gallagher leaving the cobbles behind to play Clarice Starling in the theatre adaptation of The Silence Of The Lambs, we knew that we’d have to bid goodbye to the alternative goth Queen of Weatherfield, but we didn’t know it’d sting so much! Deciding that she needs a fresh start and a new challenge, Nina accepted a job in Whitby at an art gallery, and after bidding goodbye to her loved ones, she hopped into her beloved uncle, Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) car and headed for pastures new. Corrie’s official Instagram uploaded a video of Mollie, bidding an emotional goodbye to the Street, as a selection of clips of her time in the show played. ‘Hi guys, I just wanted to come on and say thank you so much for all of your support over the last few years,’ Mollie began. ‘As a local working class girl from Salford, Coronation Street has always been a huge part of my life and I’m just so blessed for the opportunity to be part of this amazing show.’ After the video segued into Nina and Abi Webster (Sally Carman), the mother of her murdered ex-boyfriend Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) sharing a special moment, Mollie said: ‘Thank you all so much, and it’s not a goodbye, just a see you later. Thank you’ Mollie uploaded a post of her own, with a shot of Nina taking a last look at the street from inside Roy’s car. ‘Nina and Corrie you have been a dream,’ she began the caption.
