Coronation Street confirms who Lucy is and major Christina twist as new spoilers reveal what happens next

An absolute tragedy confirmed as Lucy’s true identity is revealed (Picture: ITV / Metro) Coronation Street is no stranger to a twist or two but even by it’s own standards the latest is a jaw-dropper, with a big connection made between Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) and newcomer Lucy Parkinson (Anya Dewin). Lucy has been looked after by Sally and Tim Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine) following the suspicious death of mum Rachel Parkinson. Her dad Richie (Nathan Sussex), Tim’s cousin, was arrested for murder, though it seems there is more to the tale than meets the eye, with Lucy sharing fears that she’s got ‘something bad inside’ her. The last offering of the ITV soap saw her and Tim head to Shuttleworths, where Lucy crossed paths with Christina. A heated showdown ensued, with both characters getting off on the wrong foot. Little did they know then what was about to come to light. As George (Tony Maudsley) talked Christina through the ropes of her new job, she accessed the digital file for Rachel Parkinson – and went pale. In emotional scenes, Christine revealed that Rachel Parkinson, Lucy’s mum, was her daughter. Elsewhere, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) – who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer – bonded with son Brody (Ryan Mulvey), who made it clear that he didn’t want to lose him when he’s only starting to get to know him.
